Richy's 1970 XW Ford Falcon Restoration - Pt 14 Electrical
Hitting 2021 head on! We focused on getting the wiring side of the build sorted over the break. We started by repairing damaged or weathered wiring and then cleaning the loom thoroughly and re-taping it. We installed new fuse box terminals as these are a common problem in old Fords.
While we were at it we restored the wiper motor. The motor was stripped, parts were sent off to be re-zinced. The housing was sand blasted & wire wheeled. The internals were checked & re-greased, all parts re-assembled. Finally a fresh washer pump repair kit was fitted
We also got cracking on the replacement dash for the old Falcon. We decided to upgrade to a GS dash which involves pulling apart the old dash to transfer some of the parts to the new reproduction dash
